As we see this story arc come to an end, I'd like to thank all of you for sticking around this whole time. It had a bit of a rocky start with near-terrible artwork, no real story to go off of, and basically just a mess all around. But I evenutally found my way in making a halfway decent thing out of it. I can only look forward from here, and that means Season 2!

Season 2 is already in the writing phase. As I've said on Twitter and Facebook, I'm going to do something a little bit different with the next installment of the comic. It will be very different in tone, focusing less on the inner workings of band stuff, and more on weird adventure/fantasy plot elements. I hope you guys dig it, because it's been a lot of fun writing it so far!

In addition to this, I am shooting for a longer story. I'm planning on doing a 75 page story, and breaking it up between the webcomic and the printed version. About a third of it will be available on this website as a webcomic, and the rest will go into a printed version of the whole story. I have many reasons for trying it this way, but one of the main reasons is to make this series more than just a webcomic that I make no money off of. So let's see where it goes.. I don't have a definite start date yet, but I plan on launching it sometime in September. Just keep a lookout! Follow me on Twitter! (...please don't forget about me...)

There's a couple more things I'd like to mention before I go. First, I've added a fan art section to the website. There you will find (you guessed it) fan art! So here's the thing: this is the last cover song THM will be doing in this story arc, and to go out with a bang I decided to use my own band's song. That might make me seem like a shameless turd who loves to promote myself, but hear me out. This song is a pretty good fit for the end of the season. I think it makes sense for them to be playing a song like this at the end of their tour. But also, yes, I'm a shameless turd who loves to promote myself.

Something else about this page is the introduction to the more polished look of the comic. I added some highlights to the coloring to make it stand out a little more, so I hope that makes it look good.

In addition to this, I slaved over a hot computer to make the stage look like the actual Milestone venue in Charlotte, NC. I can't say I've ever been there, but when I saw I needed a venue for this fictional Battle of the Bands I searched online to find this dinky little punk haven. It turns out it has quite the history behind it too. It looks like it has a very unique atmosphere to it, so that's why I picked it. If you've ever been there, I hope I didn't screw it up too much.

Fun fact about this page, I fucked it up. If you go back to a few pages ago and read the flyer, you'll see the venue isn't The Milestone. I think what happened was I wanted to do a real venue in Charlotte and just put down a placeholder while I did a little research to find a good punk venue. I finally picked The Milestone, but I never changed it on the flyer. Oh well. I'm too lazy to go back and change it. WOO LAZINESS!

I'm quite proud of that flyer. Not sure why... maybe it's how I rip off the video game Rock Band in the icons, or the dick joke I put in there. Whatever the case may be, I feel like I've made something special.

Not much commentary on this page, I'd just like to mention that the Kickstarter for my comic book, Facebeast, is only a couple days away from being over. If you've been putting off pledging to the campaign, NOW is the time to do it! It ends at 8pm this Sunday! We are currently at over 400% of our initial goal, but all this additional money is going towards more copies of the book and bigger cons this year.
